This project is an illustrated playing card deck that organizes dog breeds by suit: Hearts for herding and working class dogs, Diamonds for toy and companion breeds, Clubs for terriers and mastiffs, and finally, Spades for hounds and similar breeds like bulldogs and beagles. The structure creates a clear visual system and theme while still giving each card its own personality.

The illustrations are each inspired by vintage cigarette cards from the late 19th and early 20th century, blending the hand-drawn, nostalgic charm with a more modern, characterized style. And to give the deck a playful and mischievous twist, the jokers are cats. The final result of the project is a collectible set that feels nostalgic and lively.
